Today’s Plan

Sun: LSR – small Tesco shop

What I did yesterday/today

Sun: LSR – a six mile (Llanwern Village loop) with Maria English. Then a Tesco shop and buy the Sunday Times. I did some Gothenburg planning. I may need to go straight to the TIC and stadium after checking in at the hotel because the Friday is athletes’ rest day. I need to check BMMS times.

 Yesterday’s visit notes:

 I saw Janet Townsend this afternoon. I went with Lynn, Denise and Jools (Julie Basham). Janet has very late-stage dementia. When we saw her today, she was unable to move by herself in her bed. She can open and close her eyes. There was perhaps a sparkle in her eye when she looked at a picture of Megan (her dog). No sign of recognition of us, her friends, but she seemed to know we were there. Her eyes very occasionally looked at us. Jan is 65 years old.  It was when her dog died a few years ago that she started to go downhill. It is so sad.

 What’s Next

Mon: Weigh-in, deluxe waffle, Pilates, afternoon EDF visit.
